Hi! I’m Janelle. I’m
the photographer-in-chief here at Square Root Photography. I’m also a wife and a mother of two beautiful
daughters (not that I’m biased or anything). I love music, hats, Mexican food, Harry Potter, and the color gray.
I’d love to tell you about my “passion” for photography, and
how I’ve “always” been a photographer, but I’m going to let you in on a little
secret instead:
I don’t “do photography.”
No really…I don’t.
I create history.
I create history.
When I press the shutter button on my camera,
I’m not taking a snapshot. I’m not even
creating an image or a photograph. I’m
creating part of your personal history.
And that’s why I love what I do.
Family history is something that is important to me. So when you hire me to be your photographer,
I treat our time together as if I were being photographed myself. When I deliver your photos and
you love them, it makes me happy to have been part of your history, whether
it’s family history, personal, professional, or otherwise.
I am a historian with a camera.
